Letters relating to the First World War service of 1228 Corporal Robert Edmund Antill, 14 Battalion. The letters were written by Robert Antill to his parents between 3 August 1914 and 25 November 1915. In the letters, Antill describes his enthusiasm to join the war effort, the training in Egypt and the impact of the fighting at Gallipoli on his morale. He also discusses his wounding, hospitalisation and recovery in London.
