Phone.- 7.15 p.m., 14th July, 1918. -DDDDDD From Major-General ROSENTHAL:-- We hold junction of Boche trenches, U.5.d. -S. of our Corps Moundary. - We are holding that junction. - We are occupying SYRLA Trench from there Eastward up to where the road through WMOMMENT WOOD cuts our boundary in 6.c. (about 500 yds.). - The E. end of SYRIA Trench is very shallow and ne can’t occupy it.- We have posts just beyond the road, up to as far as C.central. - We are joining back from 6. central, through U.C.b. to the old Boche system, now our system, at the railway line at 0.36.d. (about) 15.0. We have 2 prisoners. - We are still fighting at the S.W. corner in U.5.d. - General WISDoM is making a connection across No MAN'S LAlD from the junction of trenches in U.5.d. towards our inter- national post.- He will consolidate on the line I have given you tonight.
