It must be clearly explained to all ranks, especially
to newly-joined Drafts, that the object of flying the Flag
is to denote that General Officer not below the rank of
Divisional Commander is in the car.
The colours of the flag show the rank, as follows:-
The Union Jack. Commander-in-Chief.
Red and Black. Army Commander.
Red and White. Corps Commander.
Red. Divisional Commander.
The General Officer Commanding wishes Officers to take steps
to ensure that every officer and man is made acquainted with
this order.
Loss of Bicycles.- 810.
In view of the frequent loss of bicycles through these
being left unattended, each Unit will in future be held responsible
to make good all losses of bicycles from this cause.
