The attached agenda paper ie forwarded to you in continuation of preliminary instructions for Battalion Raid issued under my No. 6 611 on 17th inst. 2. The front to be dealt with extends from C.29.a.35.10 FRONT TO BE on the South to C.25.0.90.25. on the North. Second line DEFIII from C.29.a.70.00. to C.23.d.10.20. Third line from C.29.0.77-95 to C.23.d.33.20. 3. The raiders will penetrate to the third line. DEPTH OF TT The C.R.4. will submit programne for Artillery work 40 ARLLLLERY indicating what trenchee can be engared & imultaneously S Mrp D. Gaps in the wire will be out at the following points.- WIN C.29.a.430, C.29.a.60.50., C.29.a.75.80., and OUTTINS Arrangements will also be made to deal C.25.0.90.08. Wire with wire behind the front and sup ort lines. outting will be proceeded with forthwith. 6. One company will be ellotted to each gap at which ALLOTMENI 3 platoons will enter in platoon waves. The fourth OF PARTI platoon will be available for covering work, handling 80 prisoners and wounded, parapet work, nessage carrying, One platoon of the three entering will be detailed to deal with its allotted portion of the first line, another with the second line, and another with the third line. Detailed instructions regarding this will be issued by the O.C. Raid. He will also arrange for the necessary Stops and Communication Trench Larties, but the Platoon organization will be advered to as far as possible. The raid will be carried out on a fogsy day or under TLE OF 7. oover of darkness. RAID The advisability of nsing smoke barrages on flanks 8. SAOR will be considered. 2.  The front to be dealt with extends from C.29.a.35.10

13. C.R.E. will prepare a similar map on a larger
scale for marking out replica trenches on the ground.
It will be checked and compared with the Divisional
1/5,000 map.

C.R.E. will then arrange with 10th Inf. Brigade
to have the trenches put on to the Training area.
This must be done at the very earliest date possible. 

MOVING ALONG COMMUNICATIONS TRENCHES  
14. If, after entering the enemy's trenches, there is
the least difficulty in moving up communication trenches,
Platoons will go over the top. C.R.A. will arrange wire-cutting 
behind the line accordingly. Viz.- in the
vicinity of communication trenches. 

ALLOTMENT OF TASKS         
15. Platoons should be told off to their allotted
tasks forthwith.

EXITS FROM OUR TRENCHES         
16. The O.C. Raid will notify 9th Inf. Brigade where
he wishes exits prepared for raiders to leave our
trenches.
GAPS IN WIRE TO BE KEPT OPEN

open as wire cutting proceeds.

WIRE CUTTING DIVERSIONS
