The Submarine Guard has been increased by one Sergeant.
SHIP'S GUARD
The Ship's Guard has been increased to 39 privates.
FATIGUE PARTIES
In order to avoid congestion of troops on "A" Deck fatigue
parties as under will report direct to Ship's Officers named
N.C.O's in charge of these fatigues must ascertain before
reporting the whereabouts of the ship's officer concerned
and the place at which their party is to parade.
This obviates the necessity of reporting to Ship's
Orderly room.
STOREKEEPER's FATIGUE:- Storekeeper No. 2 Hatch 0900
CANTEEN FATIGUE :- Canteen Steward Dry Canteen 0900
CLEANING FATIGUE :- 2nd. Steward 0900
SWEEPERS :- Ship's Boatswain 0900 and such
other times as ordered by him.
SPECIAL DUTY 3.
The following men are attached permanently for the voyage to
the 12 pdr. Gun Detachment and are exempt from all parades.

OFFICERS OF THE DAY 4.
All officers of the Day will wear Field Glasses during their
Tour of Duty.
ALARM SIGNALS 5.
BOAT STATIONS: 6 Blasts on Ships Whistle
On this sounding instructions contained in Ship's
Order No 2 xxxxxxxxx para 5 will apply.
Officers not attached to any Unit or not otherwise on duty
will assemble on "A" Deck forward Starboard Side should the
above signal be sounded.
FIRE ALARM BOXES 6.
It is absolutely forbidden to tamper with these boxes.
found so offending will be most severely punished.

LIFE BELTS 7.
C.O's Units must insist on a more strict observance of the
order regarding the wearing of life belts.
SICK 8.
This will be under regimental arrangements. C.O's Units
are responsible that their sick are at Ship's Hospital at 1000 daily.
PARADE 9.
During Ship's Inspection all officers not attached or otherwise
not on duty will remain on "A" Deck.
CLEANING OF DINING HALLS 10.
The Mess Orderlies of the Duty Battalion will in future
parade in xxxxxxx their respective Dining Halls at
0900 1430 1900
for the swabbing down of floors. This does not relieve
Unit's Mess Orderlies of responsibility for the cleaning
of their own Messing Utensils and the wiping down of tables.
Dining Room Sergeants are responsible for the carrying
out of this order and must warn the mess orderlies concerned
MESSING UTENSILS 11.
Mess Utensils are on no account to be taken from dining
halls; and if tables are reported to be short of any of the
above articles at any one sitting the cost covering the
shortage will be debited against the N.C.O. in charge of
the table of the sitting previous to the one at which the
loss is reported.
TRAFFIC ON SHIP 12. Troops in moving to their places on board ship will observe
the following routes:-
i Those moving FORWARD keep to Starboard (Right side facing
bow).
ii. Those moving AFT keep to Port (Right side facing stern
CENSORSHIP 13.
All letters intended for transmission on arrival at oversea
port of disembarkation must be posted at the letter box on
"A" Deck outside the Ship's Orderly Room where they will be
collected by the Brigade Branch Field Post Office. All
letters are subject to censorship. They should therefore
be posted unsealed. All sealed letters will be subjected
to great delay and are liable to be stopped altogether. All
letters containing to the names of ships, the numbers of
Brigades or Battalions, the numbers of troops on various
ships and the presumed port of disembarkation, will be
liable to be destroyed and in any case will be subjected
to great delay. All post cards and letters containing no
objectionable matter will be posted as soon as possible after
landing but will be subject to some delay.

Devotion on Poop Deck at 2000 each evening followed by
Confession.

DUTIES 2. (PERMANENT): The following has been added to the list of
Permanent Duties and the personnel have taken up their duties
as from 0900, 3rd. June. 1916.
SANITARY POLICE:- 1 Sgt. 1 Cpl. and 9 men.
Sergeant in Charge:- Sgt. GOODLAD 13th. Bn.
ALARM SIGNALS 3. Instructions are to be given that in the event of the
signal (6 blasts on Ship's Whistle) sounding, all ranks are
to fall in at their respective stations at the double.
SICK PARADE 4. Commencing 4th. inst, Sick parade will be at 0900. The unit
detailed for last sitting at Breakfast 0930.
STAFF PARADE 5. At 2045. All N.C.O's in charge of permanent duties and Battalion
Orderly Sgts. will parade at the Ship's Orderly Room.
EXTRACT 6. The following extract from "Notes on the movement of troops by
Rail and Sea" is published for information of all those Officers
concerned:-
"O's. C. Units and Companies will see that their men are
divided into messes, allotted to berths, and instructed in
the proper method of rolling bedding and slinging hammocks;
that their packs, kit bags, and sea kit bags, arms, accoutrements,
and ammunition, if any, are properly disposed of, and
that their necessaries, hammocks, and bedding, when served out
are marked."
2.
KIT BAGS 7.
Arrangements have been made for the drawing of, and subsequent
return to the hold of kit bags, on Monday 5th. inst. These
are at pre-sent stowed in No. 6 Hatch Aft.
"B" Deck will be at the disposal of Battalions for the
sorting and delivery of Kit Bags in the following sequence:-

Adjutants will confer with Capt. N.L. HENLEY 13th. Bn. as
to the number of fatigue men required and the system to be
adopted for the drawing of these bags.

handling these bags on "B" Deck after their removal from
No. 6 Hatch. Every man in the Brigade should have his kit

RATIONS 8.
All officers who may be called upon to perform the duties
of Captain of the Day and Orderly Officer will inspect the
scale of rations laid down for troops by Transport Regulations.
This form (T113) may be seen in Ship's Orderly Room.
MESSING 9.
Alteration in times for messing for Sunday June 4th.:-

Sittings will in future be in rotation and will be posted
daily in orders.

ALARM ASSEMBLY 11.
Every officer on the ship is responsible to assist in every
possible way to ensure a rapid and orderly assembly
whenever an alarm signal is sounded. by controlling all
personnel within his reach with a view to ensuring:-
(
(a). That all ranks double at full speed to their stations.
(b). That companion-ways and gangways are not blocked by
opposing streams of troops
(c). That there is no noise. shouting or talking.
BOATS CREWS:- N.C.O's in charge of Boats crews must see
that their men stay at their stations the & in the dismissal is
sounded or further orders are received.
