Hay Valley
Terracing was continued
during the Daylight.
The well was further continued.
Newburys Tunnel was
driven in further,
Firing trenches & Bivouac
were cleared of Mud & Snow
Issue of Rum was much
appreciated by the troops.
Our Snipers were observing
during the daylight & report
much individual movement
but no enemy work was
being done.
If Iron could be obtained
shelter could be made to
house all my men.

is being constructed at the

Sandy Knoll. This will
be the best position in

Machine Gun & crew of 8 men.

M Gun men in Supports.
This M. Gun commands the
approaches to Hackney Wick
