party comprised as under will assemble at
Brigade H.Q to proceed under the guidance
of Capt. Locke orderly officer to the Valley of the Aghyl Dere
to inspect :- reconnoitre :-
(a) Bivouac sites
(b) Section of /defence about to be occupied by this
Brigade - extent about 350 yards.
(c) Machine Gun Positions & detached post.-
(d) Sources of Water supply.
The party will be composed as follows:-
C.O. 13th Battalion
Brigade M.G.officer 
Lieut Dickenson
1 subaltern officer of 14th each of 14th, 15th & 16th Battalions
1 N.C.O. of 13th
1 N.C.O of Bgde Signal section
(1 N.C.O. of each Battalion of Fourth Brigade)
The latter party are included merely to learn the route
so as to act as guides to future parties.
C.O 13th Battalion & Bgde M.G. Officer will report to Brigadier at 0945850
