FOURTH INFANTRY BRIGADE

Unofficial
Dear Colonel Wallace,
I am now preparing the Training Programme for
my Brigade in camp at Broadmeadows, and in order to allot days for
Musketry and other Exercises, it is very desirable that I should know
as soon as possible whether it is intended that the Brigade should
have a farewell march through the City, prior to embarkation. The
Command itself would appreciate it. If it is decided to have a march,
I suggest that the date should be not before December 13th., but I
should like as long notice as possible.
Please send reply to Broadmeadows Camp.
Yours faithfully
John Monash Colonel Commanding Fourth Infantry Bde, Australian Imperial Forces
