As C Coy bombed to the
left they heard German
shouting w Visden in
response to our Wisdom.
A number of these
Germans were squeezed
in between the two —
& some of them cleared
back over the top
(Later we always
used signs such as
"Thorough" & "Through" wh

B Coy had much /
hardest fight, getting
in & while in / trench. It did

captd a German
doctor in a deep
dugout w 2 entrances
in that trench.
On the left the 28 Bn
attacked along N of
Gamp trench. Wire ws
not cut. They had

were seen ^by Cherry & Ward filing
out along Loupart
