waiting for 18 m. First 50 Victorians under Davis.

Happy times as a rule on / voyages & sorry to leave.
Some to Kandy. Reached Bombay Sept 24th. Ran right into
cholera wh had killed 2 Aust Sisters.

there being so many Cs of Tropical
diseases including cholera, dysentry,
& Plague".

Nasik 60 beds ^offrs ws 7m. away.
Electricity now installed 1918; but each sister
kept her hurricane lamp lighter at
night as snakes v. present about - many Russells
Vipers, Kraits, & Cobras were k. - some
in / sisters rooms. One Sister at Deccan
War Hosp. Poona ws bitten but recoverd.

Hrs. 7.30am - 8pm (3 hrs off every alternate day)
Next day 7.30 - 1.30pm.

Poona
Sassoon hospl. Poona - Only one day, to nurse natives
suffering from influenza - deaths 160 in a day.
Leave. Mostly saw Taj & Himalayas. Spent leave
at Mussoorie bill Stn. Loved getting to Aust Hospls agn.

Sinla 2 days & 2 nights train from
Bombay 7000 ft up. Returned thro Agra (Taj Mahal)
& Delhi. (But in March Ap. v hot.)

The good nursing orderlies were
gradly withdrn to Mespot
Aug 1918 Spanish 'flu began to come in

Prices of Box Wallahs genly went up -
"Aust. Sisters plenty money".
