of E. Yorks collected at
Bn H.Qrs.
There ws an Offr. of
the E. Yorks there who saw
Capt. A Brown (B. didn't
know of him) & he sd tt
their morale ws gone.
They had bn a long time
on the Somme, & they had
no morale.  The E. Yorks
m.g. corporal ws firing
his gun on parapet when
a bomb hit him and he ws
blown up.  Possibly this
started them.
The E. Yorks from their
bomb post ran back behind
their bomb supply rear post.

The Australian Sergt
