Daylight or now increasin & as the lame down I E Eslope oI hill (Do ws on a knoll on I crest) they came under my. & rifle fire. Ednt Tay how far they ot. The 42 Bn w8 just a bit in advance on et. Their left flank night trase onabt C.21C8S. The other phy came up then. (No necessity to mention its being lost).

Germs were seen going out

They passed Red Wood &

fire (on some unknown or
mistaken target), got thro
