Barrage at 100 yds to 3 mins.

The Caterpillar is a very deep
road, 15 to 20 f deep & the
Germans were dug in in bivvies
on / side of it nearest to us under W.P.sheets.
These dugouts were near / top o / bank. They
did not put up a good fight - many trenches had their
equipment & boots off owing to / hour o / attack.
