There were Germans in almost

They deployed in lines of skirmishers,
whistles blowing & orders being shouted. They
made rushes by parties - down to fire

& down again. The boldness o / method
frightened / Germans, seeing these determined
men coming at them. Up went the white

At 4.15 when orders came to mop up Villg

seen moving a good deal & their

if / Germs didnt come out but simply bombing.
A sergt & 6 men were sent back to help
