per Standing Orders. - A Drill Sergeant is available for Contingents in "D" Lines.Applications,
in writing,will be forward to Headquarters, "D" Lines, at least 24 hours
before he is required. - All Coloured personnel will use showers behind the pioneers shop, for
bathing, washing and shaving, etc. . On no account will other personnel
use these showers.

ADJUTANTS ORDERS.............................................................................1030 hours.
No.1. Telephone Exchange. All users will make their calls as short as
possible. If a number is engaged, a fresh call should be made
later rather than waiting on the line: in no case will anyone
"hold on" for a number that is engaged for more than six minutes.
No.2. Visit. The G.O.C. London District will visit the Camp as under
to see Contingents which have arrived since his previous visit.
1100 hours 30th May 46, and 1100 hours 3rd June 46.
No.3. Regimental Police. All Regimental Police will wear their arm bands
on the right fore-arm only.
No.4. All ranks are warned that landing on the Camp Beach from boats, on
the Serpentine is strictly prohibited. Severe disciplinary action
will be taken future offenders.

No.1. Ord Stores.
All Contingents that may be holding Ord Stores surplus to
estimated requirements will return them as soon as possible to
the Q.M. Stores "D" Lines.
No.2. Victory March.
During the Victory March only Escorts to the Colours will
fix bayonets.
No.3. NAAFI's.
On no account will personnel of "D" Lines use other "Lines"
NAAFI's.
No.4. Sounds.
The road from the main entrance to "D" Lines, leading down
to the Officers Mess, is out of bounds to "D" Lines Personnel.
In future the Duck Board Walks inside the Camp Area will be used.

No.1. Marching Column Route.
Permission cannot be given for practise marches round the route,
as the Police cannot undertake to clear the route, even in the early
hours of the morning. There is, of course, no objection to small
bodies having conducted tours round the route provided no interference
with traffic results.
No.2. Fire Precautions.
TWO, FORTUNATELY SMALL, OUTBREAKS OF FIRE HAVE ALREADY OCCURED
IN THE CAMP. IN EACH CASE THE OUTBREAK WAS ATTRIBUTABLE TO CARELESSNESS
IN THE USE OF NAKED LIGHTS IN OR NEAR TENTS. ALL RANKS
PRESENT IN "D" LINES AND CONTINGENTS ARE WARNED OF THE CONSIDERABLE
FIRE RISKS WHICH ARE BOUND TO EXIST IN A CAMP OF THIS NATURE IN SPITE
OF EVERY REASONABLE PRECAUTION.
No.3. Photographs.
Gale & Polden (Photographer) will be in the Camp Office at
1400 hours Monday. Any Contingent wishing for any Personnel or
Collective for of photograph should contact him there, if convenient
he will be able to take them on Tuesday.

1946.
Morning Service:- 1100hrs Church Tent, "L" Lines,
Kensington Gardens.
1200 hrs Church Tent, Regents Park
All denominations are cordially invited.
Church of England.
A celebration of the Holy Communion will take place at
0730 hrs in the Church Tent, "L” Lines Kensington Gardens.
Roman Catholics.
Mass can be heard at 0800 hrs in the Church Tent, "L" Lines
A Special Military Mass can be heard at 0930 hrs in
Brompton Oratory.
(Route to the Brompton Oratory; cut of Kensington Gardens,
Alexandra Gate, across Knightsbridge, down Exhibition Rd,
turn Left along Cromwoll Road- walking time 15 minutes.)

1. Reference Camp Standing Orders paragraph 1.
Amend the time of the 1st sitting at Breakfast to read 0730 hours
and NOT 0745 hours.
2. Contingent Commanders will ensure that all Other Ranks attend for
meals at the times as laid down in Camp Standing Orders.
3. A representative of the Engineer in Chief will be visiting the Camp
to-morrow Tuesday 4th June 1946 to meet Engineer Officers of the Dominions
any Engineer Officers who is clear of duty and wishes to meet him should be at
Headquarters 'D' Lines at 1100 hours. Contingents will report the numbers of
Officers who will be meetingthe Engineer in Chiefs representative to Headquarters
'D' Lines by 0930 hours 4th June 1946.
4. It is notified for information of the Rhodesian and the Newfoundland
Contingents that the Secretary of State for the Dominions will now be visiting
the Camp at 0930 hours and not at 1000 hours. Contingents will be on
Parade at 0915 hours.
5. Any Contingent who wishes to have their Female Contingents in Camp for
The Royal Visit on the 6th June 1946 will arrange for transport through their
respective Marshals

1. MEAL TIMES.
Ref. Camp Standing Orders, and Para. 1 Camp Orders
No. 24, dated 4th June 1946:
Amend the times of Breakfast to read 0720 hours
and 0800 hours; not 0730 hours as previously published.
Early Breakfast at 0700 hours has been arranged for
the 180 Dominions personnel who are going to the Derby in coaches arranged by the
Welfare Office. Breakfast for all other personnel will be as detailed in Camp
Standing Orders.
2. The Band of the Royal West Kent Regiment, is now in Camp, and is available to
Contingents for practice marches. Application should be made to the Drill Sgt
in the Camp Office. This band is the one which wil accompany the Dominions
Contingents on the Victory March.
3. The attention of Contingent Commanders is again drawn to the times of meals, as
laid down in Camp Standing Orders. Unless these times are adhered to it will
become increasingly difficult to feed all personnel in "D" Lines.
4. TAILORS.
No further work can be undertaken in the Tailors Shop
after 1300 hours tomorrow, in order to be ready for the Victory March.
5. DUCK BOARDS.
Duck boards are being laid along the edge of the road
for the visit of the King and Queen. These will not be interforced with in any
way.

1. Colour Parties.
(a) Only such colours, flags etc, as are escorted and entitled to
the compliments paid to colours will carry laurel wreaths.
(b) When there are an uneven number of Colour Parties in a rank
the centre colour party will split when passing islands etc, where the
marching column splits: e.g. if there are three Inf Colour Parties
(six colours) the centre colour party will split and three colours will
pass on each side of the island.
2. Bounds.
"D" Lines cookhouse and area is OUT of BOUNDS to all personnel
with the exception of Cooks and Mess Men on duty.
3. Meal Times for Saturday 8th June 1946.
The undermentioned meal times will be for Saturday 8th June 46
only. Revellie will be at 0600 hours.
1st Breakfast 0645 hours.
2nd Broakfast 0715 hours.
1st Dinner 1315 hours
2nd Dinner 1345 hours.
Meal Times for the Permanent Staff will be as usual.
4. Church Services.
The following voluntary Church Services will take place as
undermentioned in the Church Tent "L" Lines, Kensington Gardens.

1. VISIT.
The Secrctary of State for War will visit the Camp
tomorrow, 7th June 1946, at 1100 hours.
Contingents should not alter their Training Progammes
but should ensure that a Senior Officer of their contingents is in their office
at 1100 hours, to meet the Secretary of State for War on his tour of the Lines.
The Secretary of State for War would liko to see any men who are in Camp, in
their Lines at the same time.
Contingent Commanders should ensure that men not on Duty
out of Camp, will be in the Lines between 1100 and 1200 hours, and NOT in the
NAAFI.
Contingent Commanders will also ensure that there is a
high state of cleanliness in their Lines for this visit.
2. MEAL TIMES.
The following routine will be for Friday 7th June and
Saturday 8th June 1946.
Revellie..................0600 hrs.
1st Breakfast.......0645 hrs.
2nd Breakfast....0715 hrs.
1st Dinner..............1315 hrs.
2nd Dinner...........1345 hrs.
Tea will be at the usual time.
The Permanent Camp Staff will also Comply with the
above times.

ADJUTANTS ORDERS..............................................................................1030 hours.
1. INCLEMENT WEATHER.
All troops, including Marshals, in the Marching Column,
will be uncloaked on 8th June 1946.
2. PRIVATE CARS.
If left outside one of the Camp Gates must be parked
on the carriageway, and not on the footpath. This applies principally to
No.5. Gate. Civil police are liable to prosecute owners of cars left on
footpath.
3. CAMP CINEMA.
The Camp Cinema (situated near the entrance to "G" Lines)
will open at 1400 hours Saturday 8th June 46. There will be a continuous
performance from 1400 hrs.- 2000 hrs. each day until 11th June 46. Future
programmes are being distributed to all Lines.
4. THE VICTORY MARCH.
Inthe event of Inclement weather on 8th June 46, there
will be no change in either procedure or order of dress.
5. SECURITY.
Regimental Police are provided in each Lines under the
orders of the Camp Commandant for the additional safeguarding of stores or other
local police matters."
"All Contingent Commanders will ensure that they have
the requisite number of men in Camp at all times to safeguard the personal
property of the Contingent." If Contingent Commanders decide to leave no one
in their lines on 8th June no additional responsibility will be accepted by
the Camp Commandant.
6. Colour Parties.
These will turn head and eyes to the left at the
Saluting Point.
7. Victory Parade.
The leading Canadian Contingent will march out of the
lines at 0910 hours to-morrow 8th June 46. They will be followed by the other
Contingents in the correct order, i.e.:-
Australian Contingent.
New Zealand Contingent.
South African Contingent.
Southern Rhodesian Contingent.
Newfoundland Contingent.
The Canadian Contingent will form up on the Road, other
Contingents will form up on the Parade Ground alloted to them in Camp Standing
Orders.
