December 1915
15 WEDNESDAY All of us AMC fellows were
on fatigue work moving equipment from the
QMasters stores into hut 72 all the morning and
part of the afternoon
16 THURSDAY
17 FRIDAY

19 SUNDAY
4 IN ADVENT A draft of Co officers & 117 NCOs
left here at 9am this morning
Five of us chaps went to a service at the
Chickeral Congregational Church this morning
20 MONDAY
1915 December
21 TUESDAY We are being given 7 days
leave at Christmas & at New year
those going for Christmas get from the 22nd
to the 28th Dec.
22 WEDNESDAY Passes were given to those
who obtained Christmas leave & also any
money due to them up to £5 I drew £2.
My mate & I left camp about 11 am I got a
train to Parkstone from Weymouth at 12.5am
we reached our destination & found we it
without much difficulty & received
a hearty welcome from the people who
so kindly gave us the invitation to spend
the holidays with them. We went down to
Boarnmouth & spent the evening at Wests
pictures.
December 1915
23 THURSDAY My mate & I hired a couple of
bikes & went out to Boscombe be along the esplanade
front with Dick. We went to the skating rink
in the afternoon & to the performance. This
is the life at the Boscombe Hippodrome
at 6.40 pm.
24 FRIDAY
1915 December
25 SATURDAY Christmas day & we
enjoyed ourselves spendidly
26 SUNDAY
I AFTER CHRISTMAS I went for a motor drive
with Mr Field this
afternoon all through Alum Chine &
along the drive at the top of the cliffs
towards Boscombe.
December 1915
27 MONDAY My mate & I got a couple of bikes
at Mr Fields garrage this morning but it was too
windy to go far we went along the Ringwood
Rd as far as the motor cyclists camp. We
went to the skating rink with Mr Field in
his car this afternoon & spent an hour there
We go went to the Poole station with Mr Hunt
at 7pm
28 TUESDAY We got a couple of cyclels bycicles
this morning & went for a ride along to Sandbanks
we did not go out this afternoon but went to
the Boscombe Hippodrome at 645pm to the
performance of Ladies first.
1915 December
29 WEDNESDAY We went for a tram ride
out to. Boscombe this morning & went to theHippodrome Theatre Royal where the performance
of Dick Whittington was being given.
30 THURSDAY We spent the day indoors
as it has been rather wet. and left for Poole
station to go back to camp at 7.45pm we got
in to camp safely at about 10 30pm to find
that a draft left Wed night for Egypt
& that we had missed
Dec & Jan 1915-16
31 FRIDAY I was put on duty at the isolation
hut today it has been a dirty day & has rained
all night. Ralph Clark came down here last night
off farlough & we went into Weymouth to the
jubillee hall after 4pm. I received 18 letters
today mostly all old ones.
