November 1915
5 FRIDAY We fell in at 9am and 2pm
and had a roll call but there were no parade
6 SATURDAY I drew my ration allowance
£1 4/- this morning I got my furlough pass at
about 11am and caught the 10 to 2pm train
and reached Waterloo at 8pm, I got a taxi
cab and went to 40 Weymouth St where I was
welcomed and made comfortable for the night
the fare up to London was 11/11d and the taxi cost
me 2/-
1915 November
7 SUNDAY A boat left today with about
500 p unfits for Aust today I went down
to Holborn for a walk then went to Picidilly
Circus by tube and then went to the Horse Guards
parades and seen the guns captured from the
Germans in France there are 22 77mm guns 2-85
and two machine guns with two trench mortars
I went to the Victoria club this afternoon
and had tea there.
8 MONDAY I went for a stroll this morning
and called in at the offices for letters but there
were none there. I then went into Westminster Abbey
but a service was on and I came out again. I went back
to 40 Weym St for dinner and left there at about 1pm
I had my photo taken at Victoria St then
went to a service in the Abbey at 3pm and
then went to Waterloo Stn and caught the
4.50pm train for Weymouth and reached there
about 9.45pm. I walked to camp and could not
find my bunk the hut was full up of newcomers and
I went to sleep on some one elses bunk.
November 1915
9 TUESDAY It is a terrible wet day
and we had no parades the Lord
Mayors show was held today in London a pair
from this camp represented aust in the procession.
We were shifted out of 65 hut into 63 today.
I received a bundle of a doz letters from Aust.
10 WEDNESDAY We fell in on parade this
morning but did not go for a march I spent the
morning printing a few photos I went for a march
with B Coy through Chickeral this afternoon The
draft which marched through London on Monday
returned back here this afternoon.
1915 November
11 THURSDAY It has been raining near
all day we did not have any parades
today. Received parcell from home
12 FRIDAY It has been extremely wet
today I was on duty at the orderly
room from 2pm till 8 pm as orderde

13 SATURDAY On duty from 8.30am
till 2pm at Orderly room. We was paid
today I drew 10/-
14 SUNDAY
24 AFTER TRINITY Church parade was held
at 10.45am I was told
off for fatigue work cleaning up the camp.
Received parcell from home today went for
a stroll into Weymouth tonight. Adraft
left this morning for Egypt.
1915 November
15 MONDAY I reported at sick parade at 7am
about my teeth and a cold. It has been a beautiful
day after a heavy frost but got very cold & wet tonight
I spent the evening at the YMCA hut at a concert
given by the pupils of Miss Johns school Weymouth.
16 TUESDAY I got out to the 7am parade it was
bitterly cold though. I went to the dentists at 10am
but have to wait about my teeth a full muster parade
of B coy was held at 2pm and we were taken before the
doctor who examined us and put us into a A Coy if fit.

17 WEDNESDAY
18 THURSDAY The funeral of our late comrade
M Guthrie took place at 10am from Sydney Hill
hospital, it was a very impressive ceremony
being carried out with full military honours.
1915 November
19 FRIDAY I reported at sick parade at 7am
for my xxxxxxx cold. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxx A muster parade was held at 2pm and
those who had not seen the dr. last Tues were
taken to the medical office. I got a parcell
containing 2 pairs of sox today.
20 SATURDAY I turned out to 7am parade &
was warned for duty at 8.30am for marking
at the butts and we spent the morning there.
November 1915
21 SUNDAY
25 AFTER TRINITY Church parade was held
at 10.30am at the Gymnasium. I received
a letter from home dated Oct 3rd & one from May Strong
dated October 5th.
22 MONDAY A muster parade was held at
9am and I got transferred to A coy. I shifted
out of hut 63 to 40 today.
1915 November
23 TUESDAY We do not have to turn
out for the 7am parade now A dental
inspection was held at 2pm and I went
for a march with A coy through Chickeral
I spent the evening at the pictures.
24 WEDNESDAY All us AMC details fall
in together now we went for a march
into Weymouth through Westham and back
along the Chickeral Rd. this morning.
November 1915
25 THURSDAY All our hut was cleared
out today and the AMC took it
over. I went into Weymouth and spent
the evening at the jubilee hall. I went
for a march as far as the Dorset camp
at Wyke Regis this afternoon.
26 FRIDAY We did not go out for a
march today but cleaned up our hut as
all AMC chaps are in it now. I went
to the Jubilee hall tonight

27 SATURDAY We washed out our hut
this morning and gave it a good cleaning
out.
28 SUNDAY
1 IN ADVENT
November 1915
29 MONDAY Received letter from home
dated October 17th
30 TUESDAY I went into Weymouth
and spent the night in the Jubilee hall.
1915 December
1 WEDNESDAY We went for a march through
Chickeral this morning and got paid this
morning also. I went into Weymouth tonight.
2 THURSDAY I was put on duty with
the medical guard from 2pm to 2pm to-
morrow.
December 1915
3 FRIDAY I was on duty at hut 25 from
7 to 10am and we were relieved from
guard at 2pm.
4 SATURDAY It is a very wet day today
and the no parade was sounded we spent
the day indoors playing bridge which
is the chief passtime here.

5 SUNDAY
2 IN ADVENT
6 MONDAY We went into Weymouth for a
march this morning.
December 1915
7 TUESDAY We went into Weymouth this
morning for a march and had to take shelter
in the SA hut at Westham camp also at the
picquet hut from the rain.
8 WEDNESDAY
9 THURSDAY
10 FRIDAY I spent the evening at the
pictures which has reopened again after the
breakdown of its engine.
December 1915
11 SATURDAY We went into Weymouth for
a march this morning.
12 SUNDAY
3 IN ADVENT The batch of unfit troops went
away this morning.
1915 December
13 MONDAY It has been extremely wet
today. I went into Weymouth & spent the evening
at the jubilee hall. We were paid double pay
this afternoon. I drew £1.
14 TUESDAY Today has been extremely wet
I went into Weymouth tonight for my tunic
which I have had altered & got pretty wet
walking home.
