Jacko fairly lively at night

Wally Hartnett went
away to Cadet School
Very hot indeed
Clem Harris & Gordon Jowett
over from 2 yrs A.M.G.S.
Jacko put some big
shells into watering
area in morning.
Ken Clifton evacuated with
Pryxia.

Very warm day. usual
routine N.C.O of picquet.
Concert at Y.M.C.A. did not
go. crook headache.

5th after Trinity. Sunday 30
Quiet day, but hot, & dusty
caught a huge scorpion
about 5 inches long
Took him over to FA
& ran some sport with
one of their fighters.
Went over to YMCA after
and struck a voluntary
church service, very nice
indeed..
Got home very late after having
a yarn to Jim Brothers on Anzac.

Jacko shelling us before
revaille: shells all round
are within 50 yards of our
lines.
Went out with rations
to H.Q. & No 1 & 2 sections
Jacko shelled all posies
about 10 oclock at night
1st Regt horse stampeded
caught it in the neck
but got most of their
horses back eventually.
Parcel business all fixed
up & papers torn up
clear sailing again.

on Palestine, very good.

watering parale twice
a day. took rations out
to No 1 Sect & Hq.
Jacko raided some of
the possies but slipped
Wrote Elsie.

Very hot day, no
breeze; No.1 Sect relieved
No 5 on Malaria post. sent
the horses out.
Heavy Bombardment during
night on both sides.
Took message over to
Brigade for Billy Ahearn
saw some of Loo Rinaldi's
photo of Jordan. Very good.
