Pretty lively morning
Jackos' attacked one sectre
of the line (2nd & 5th Regt) and
were repulsed with heavy
losses on their side.
Our casualties were fairly
heavy:
Shelling all along line again
put a shell right into our
horselines, bivvys. only
hit two horses.
Our Artillery busy all day
heavy bombardment about
1oclocks: Turks still lively
at dark: shelling the river
Big bombardment acros Jordan
about 4" Turks evacuated during
night. Picquet at night

Preparing for stunt; got
all spare ammunition
down to SHG (9750): drew
rations in afternoon
for following day.
Sent all spare gear over to
Left Gun:
Indians took over possy.
Got last instalment of
Keaora Cooee.

Friday 19
Revaille at 2.15; and
proceeded along Wadi Nurrin
towards mountains: till
stopped by Jacks Outpost.
Our big batteries put up a
few shells.; stayed in possy
all day. very warm:
Jacko put shells all round us
but did no damage.
Regiment suffered 2(K). 5(W).
Returned to old camp after
dark: & got home about
10.45
