Fatigue in morning
Very little doing. took horses
down to shade, had some real
good sport with a little "bint"

great bust up, fowls ducks
& all sorts of "quice Kateen things
got home late.

Anniversary of the landing
at the Dardanelles the
Anzac Hostel gave a great
show, will keep up in Cairo

Escort to Hasen Pasha
with rations, got home
late, big Muski at Toora

General Fatigue, took
horses down to shade
in afternoon, pictures at
night in Minea

to Chemists to be fixed

"C" Squadron got into Mina
about dark & then shifted
up to railway, had a
pretty busy day getting
things ready. left
Minia about 10
travelling all night.

Friday 12
Arrived at Kantara
at 11 A.M. after along
weary trip, put up
camp near canal, the
horses were about ½ mile
away.

Saturday 13
Revaille at 5, put up
tents swim in Canal
during morning: got
order to proceed to Hill
70 straight away, left
camp at 4. & proceeded
to Hill 70, got there about
12 saw "Mosenbeak"

Sunday 14
Usual camp fatigue
put up tent etc.
Wrote letters (10)

Monday 15
12th L.H. camped close
to us; they came out
along the Auxiliary line
and camped about 200
yards away
Saw Belfield & Robin Bone

Tuesday 16
Usual Routine
very hot, water for
horses scarce takes
along time to do
stables.

Wednesday-17
Usual routine got things
packed up. tents pulled
down & ready for an
early start for "Romani"

Thursday 18
Revaille at 1.30. AM.
and proceeded due
east to Romani (17
miles) good travelling
at night but hot
during the day. heavy
country.
Saw Andy Cunningham
and "Squeaker" Fenner

"A" Squadron out on a
stunt & burnt all
old villages etc.

Saturday 20
Quiet day; went over
to see some of 6th Bruce.
& Wilson & several more.
