Fixed up horse lines
and put up tents &
got things fixed up
generally.

On "Police Duty" Keeping
the nigs out of the camp
nothing much doing.
All the boys made
fishing lines and
tried to catch some
fish. nothing doing
in that line.

Sunday 12
Police duty; still all
very quiet: 3 hours duty

Police duty.
Some of the boys went

Still on police duty
getting full of chasing coons
will soon be off

Just off duty on
Police & sent out on
patrol; from 12-6
had a pretty crook
night of it.

Outpost at night
Midge got away &
we had along ride
after him.

Took Mundallie out
for exercise, down
to "Toorah" where
there was a big

Sunday 9
On patrol to Tuk-el-Khiel
with Guth, had a bit of
fun along the road
Saw a huge snake; but
missed him.

Got orders to proceed
to Minia on escort duty
took old Mundallie
in and had a
good time.

Did fatigue at
Feedstack in morning
was on guard at station
on stuff for Tamalut
had some fine sport
with some little Kiddos
immetating animals
didnt go to bed till
all hours.

Went down to camp as
soon as relieved; &
fixed camp; went
up to town & got
photos at Solomon
Akle's, they were
very good: sent a
lot away.

Thursday 13
Went on escort with
Olly out to Nazlet-el Abid
rode about 30 miles; very
interesting days.

Friday 14.
On Regimental fatigue
getting stores away to
the auxillary line for
Tamalut.

Fatigue in morning
not much to do.
Went to pictures at night
Geoff Scholes came in
to as the same duty

Sunday 16
On escort to Tuk-el-Khiel
very hot during the
day, Came back
in evening.

came back in express
from Cairo to Minia.

On fatigue as usual
took horses to shade

Patrol to Hasen-Pasha
very windy day
Did not get home till
late; got a parcel from
Aunt Agnes.

Fatigue and saw pictures
at night; had some sport
with some tommies who
were merry.
