SEPTEMBER, 1916. Monday 18 came Lept Ber-et Abd + stright back towards Romane. near Hod debabis wne had a half fer dinner & marched pasth Sineral Vebrenary surgeon, in sections: & then leaving Oghratna & Gatra on our left we came home arriving at 530, the hoses were very done up & tried we had nauelled over 70mclesduring our ctient & the water was not to pcentiful for the horses. It was by far the biggest stient we have yet bees on. SEPTEMBER, 1916. Tuesday 19 . On daystableman all day Wrote Helen & Eved.

SEPTEMBER, 1916. Friday 22 Took horses down to alms, read all day. SEPTEMBER, 1916. Saturday 23 Water Guard with Jacke Leather Lane Jowett back from school came & brought me some phoos. Wrote Home & Jess 55 a Nedda

Tuesday 26 Still packing up wen on mess orderl as was on for a week lestered to lecture by Baks McGowan on India; mne of the best lectures than wer heard on the subject SEPTEMBER, 1916. Wednesday 27 e same old thing, put in charge of fatiue party & sent down to Railhead to receive our gar as it same down, Seneral Chouval gave us a lecture, &presented the Wedalle Wilikure to Lient Wasson and the DC.M to Cirp M. Gougall Mc Rae of the Ziela Ainbrlaved
SEPTEMBER, 1916. Thursday 28 Left Railhead at 230 and came in dawn to Kantana and and unloaded train and waited till limbers took most of it away New Zealanders Comenge back from the Fity Bash at Alexandria SEPTEMBER, 1916. Friday 29 Shill getting things away from the station. plenty of loads taken away earl Finished looking at Stath and weent down & lant A Lantain Nest
SEPTEMBER, 1916. Saturday 30 just doing fatigues all day fixing up camp went for swem in Caual eciuet baddeish fucke from the Viclorian Racing Club OCTOBER; 1916. 2sth after Triniy. Sunday 1 17 of the section came in early & are off to Alexandria, lett llorses in our charge, wen down to railway to bring hase back Wrote Home 5s. Mrs Nanch.

Left Bir-el-Abd & ^came straight

back towards Romani: near

Hod-Dêbabis we had a

half for dinner & marched

past The General Vetrenary

Surgeon: in sections: & then

leaving Oghratina & Qatia on

our left we came home

arriving at 5.30; the horses

were very done up & tired

we had travelled over

70 miles during our "stunt"

& the water was not too

plentiful for the horses.

It was by far the biggest stunt

we have yet been on.

lectures I have ever heard

the Medalle Militaire
to Lieut Nasson and
the D C M, to Corp McDougall
McRae; - of the Field Ambulance

came on down to Kantara,
and and unloaded train
and waited till limbers
took most of it away.
New Zealanders' coming back
from the "Sity Bech" at
Alexandria

Still getting things away
from the Station. plenty
of loads taken away early.
Finished loading at Station
and went down to camp
at Kantara West.
