23 THURSDAY
Moved down to
rail head to day.
Was on outpost last
night for the first
time for months
It was terribly
foggy this morning.

On at the stables

Was on stable
picquet last
night
for the first time
for months

There was a church
parade this morng
but I was on at
the stables

still at rail
head at the
stables

28 TUESDAY
Same old thing
it is a fairly good
camp here
as we can get anything
at the canteen
& cocoa & beers
at the Y.M C A

pay day
got a bunk between
the wagons &
its good to
sleep on a bed
once more
Wrote two letters
to day but
haven't posted
them

Les is going to
the machine gun [*15*]
class & I think
Ern will go tomorrow

I am going on
dental parade
tomorrow
we are expecting
a mail tomorrow

canal today
with horses

had to go down
to meet the
Major tonight
I was in bed &
had to get up
& take 2 horse
down to meet
him & when I
got down there
he was back
in camp.
got gifts from the 
A.R.C. & W.N.L.

leg broken &
had to be shot
