Still on no duty

loafing about tent

been writing

Out at the 

entanglements

then went on

detention guard

nothing fresh

mail came here

last night so

expect letters today

& camped in

A water carnival

down on the 

canal got up

by the BWI.s.

here but only

slept on signal

hill.

Gun practice this morning

The first shell was fired

over the mess shed

while we were having

our breakfast & gave 

us a start.

canal on swimming

parade & had

a good time

there is a band

contest down at

rail head to night

& anyone that is

off duty can go

Went up to the Dr

on dental parade

Left El Ferdan for

Moascar on dental 

leave

arrived at Moascar

but haven't got any

teeth out yet.

I think I will have

to go to hospital

Went in to Ismalia

last night.

At Moascar

fairly good camp

much like Tel-el-Kebir

Got leave to go to 

Ismalia at 1400.

& stoped there till

2130. went all over

the town.

saw some splendid

things but they

cost a bit.

Nothing doing to day

some of the party 

went to Ismalia

but I stoped in camp

as I was tired

Went to the dentist

this morning. He

wanted me to go

to the Hospital at

Cairo but didnt

want to go.

no time this 

morning. so 

went over after dinner

and got 18 teeth

out. didn't feel it

mouth very sore

sent to N.Z. hospital

Up at slept on a bed

for the first time

for months.

mouth very sore

have been watching 

the airoplanes

go up & fight

again

Was going to 

write home but

didnt feel inclined

very sore but

am jolly glad

Saw Jack Judd

this morning he 

tells me that

the double squadron

is moving on or

before sunday

so must go back

before they move.

Mouth feeling

sore but got the

Dr to let me out

as I want to get

back to the others

I am siting on the Moascar
station alone waiting for a 

train "it is 2/00" to go to

El-Ferdan. I wonder

what they are doing at

home. I hope the 

are all well.

don't care where I camp

to night.
