1. In order to provide a measure of compensation to certain classes
of personnel who, by reason of the needs of the Administrative and
Demobilization Services of the A.I.F., have been denied the privileges of
early repatriation, non-military employment, extended leave (other than
disembarkation leave) and the like, it has been decided to grant
such personnel an additional period of disembarkation leave, over
and above that to which they are entitled under existing regulations.
2. - This added grant of additional leave will apply ^only to all personnel
remaining "at duty" in the A.I.F. after August 31/1919; but will

not apply to any ^of such personnel who,
(a) who have enlisted ^in the A.I.F. subsequent to Dec 31/1915
(b) who have returned to Australia since original enlistment
(c) who are members of the permanent military forces of the Commonwealth
(d) who have been or are ^to being granted "leave for non-military
- employment ^"or" extended leave" prior to embarkation.-
3. The period of additional leave to be granted, as above, to qualified
personnel, will be as follows:-
(a) To all who remain "at duty" after Aug July 31/1919 -
fourteen days fifteen days. -
(b) To all who remain "at duty" after Oct September 30/1919
a further fifteen days. -
4. The term "at duty" in this regulation applies to all personnel legitimately
employed in some definite capacity in connection either wil the administration or the demobilization of the A.I.F. and but shall not
include apply to (a) duty on transports proceeding to Australia
(b) personnel remaining abroad & ^who are merely awaiting embarkation,
but and are not ^actually employed while so waiting. -

6. No such member of the A.I.F. will become [[resp?]] entitled to such additional
leave except on production of a certificate, in the Form of A.I.F. Form

Australian & New Zealand Luncheon Club in London. 

EMPIRE   DAY   LUNCHEON
(Monday, 26th May 1919).
In the Chair: Senator G.F.  PEARCE (Minister for Defence).
 The Club's next Luncheon will be held at the Connaught Rooms,
 Great Queen Street (off Kingsway), W.C, at 1 p.m. sharp, on Monday,
 26th May, on which occasion the members will entertain and be addressed
by
Admiral Sir ROSSLYN E. WEMYSS, G.C.B., K.C.B., C.M.G., M.V.O    
(FIRST SEA LORD).
AND
General Sir HENRY S. RAWLINSON, K.C.M.G., G.C.V.O., K.C.B. (COMMANDER OF THE 4th  ARMY).    

In view of the significance of the day and the eminence of the guests to

be entertained, the Committee hope that on the day every member will endeavour to be 

present with his friends and thus make the function fully representative of all
sections of the commercial, political and military life of Australia and New

Zealand.
