Lecture*]
Repatriation & Demobilisation Dept. A.I.F.
54, Victoria Street,
London. SW1
Director Genral,
Repatriation & Demob. Dept. A.I.F.
herewith draft lecture and precise for delivery to
the troops. the lecture may be expanded, if desired from, from
"Notes on Demobilisation for lectures" (herewith) prepared for
Corps lecturers by me, but it ^is thought that a long address would
not be effective.
The lecturer should make himself thoroughly familiar
with General Instructions and so be able to invite and answer
questions. He should be nominated forthwith to enable him to
do this.
It is thought that the Officers and N.C.Os might be
separately addressed from the same material, but also pointing
out to them -
(1) the responsibility of their present position requesting them
to emphasise the importance of maintaining control and inspiring
confidence during the short, but difficult period ahead of the
in the A.I.F.
(2) Familiarising themselves with General Instructions, particularly
No. 7, so as to be able to answer questions by the men. A
copy of the lecture might be handed to teh Officers,
WJ Denny
Captain.
