New Year Now I do hope
that you are getting on
orlright at work and
that you are a good
girl to your mother
or else you will catch
it when I get home
Now this is the 2nd
and I have not been
ashore yet for you have
to pay so much for
the boat but I am going
ashore on Sunday to the
cemetary It is the finest
in the world Now this
is all at present with love

Dear Jack, received your P.C. and hope you
will excuse me for not answering
it before now, but really have not
had time. Pleased to hear you are
keeping well & also enjoying yourself.
I was finished at the office last Saturday
& am now at home, but hope to
get something soon. You have never
mentioned Lil in any of your
letters but she is keeping all right &
sometimes she goes out to meet you.
Mrs Wood sends her kind love to you &
hopes you will not forget her cashmere
shawl you promised her. Now Dear Jack,
