Turks use first Gas bomb
against us . They are
very active but are
driven back.
Fatigue work running
water pipes up to firing
line.

THURSDAY
Battalion on Duty.
Inlying Picket.
Our men make dummy
attack - Fourty four men
attack & strike a Gaso-
meter. This shows Turks
intend using poisonous
gases.
16 July 1915
FRIDAY
Shelling rather active.
Active bombarding
of Achi Baba by land
& sea. Tommies make
desperate attack .

SATURDAY
Second Inoculation against
Cholera.
Four new Batteries arrive
for our position
Turks rather Quiet
