30 Mar.,
To My darling,
Hullo most lovely wife
its your loving husband to say
that he loves you, once or twice
in all and all I love you more
now than I did 10 mins ago.
No I haven't just received a letter, I love
you that's all.
I had one from Joyce and she thanked
me for sending the War S.C. and tells
of  your telegram. She is crooked on the
hard beds and wants to get home.
Mail is pretty scarce round here, so it
doesnt give me much to write about.
xx The old (A) Coy is away on exercises
at present so I cant tell You anything
'bout them.
Well the day has past quickly &
again here I am Pounding the Pencil
with hundreds of frogs making the
music, in fact during the night
they hop through the tent and

even on the bed, there's plenty of
places for them to breed at
present & they croak all day &
night.
Well incredible as it may seem I
am in a position where I can
not write any more, I'm sitting
here, honestly darling loving you
as always and yet having no
letters to answer I am only
able to repeat past declarations
of love to you my darling wife.
One thing I must get some ink
and a pen I can hardly read
this myself.
Please honey excuse me this once
for a wrotton exhibition of letter
writing, remember only that I love
you, love you terribly so.
Tomorrow I start a blitz round
here if I don't locate a letter, how
can I live without mail.
Well cheerio for today dear wife
who knows tomorrow I may get

a half dozen letters.
A big load of kisses for our
darlings and how is Miss
get-into-everything these days
Best love of all for you my most
beautiful darling wife.
Regards to everyone home
XXX Forever x Yours
XXX always
