Darling wife,
Well honey things

have moved along since I wrote

last. I have moved forward a bit
and my pl now sits on

a fairly high feature further inland

Our task here well its merely to

hold this feature. The nips are only

a few hundred yards away but

they don't come near us.

We do a little patrolling though
just to keep him away.

At present I'm underground in a dugout
and am quite safe should he

send any shells over which isn't likely

I'm afraid my mail from this end

will be pretty erratic honey though

I will try and keep a steady flow

up for you.

I expect some mail tonight so I may

be lucky.

Now since writing last, on Monday

2/

nothing apart from what I've already

told you has happened.

I have still some mail to answer so

saying I love you, here I go no 32.

The concert was a success and your

item went off pretty well.

The boys ballet including loose brassieres

looks as though was the main high

light

Sounds as if on the whole it was

a very good show

Well I wouldn't worry any honey

I think mum would have realized

before that I was up here, and our

troops landed at Tarakan so she

should have thought that out

alright.

Anyhow, I think she'd prefer to know

where I am so long as I am

safe.

Yes I realize that whatever we get

we have to earn if there's any

thing in it, you can well swank

darling because our troops here are

doing a wonderful job in these

jungles. And the Nip who is good

naturally is being hounded from

one place to another along dark

indistinct jungle tracks. And your

eyes have to be everywhere and

ears strained all the time to do

it, and we're doing it.

Well re me keeping snaps of you

in bathers, I kept them because

they were small and good of you

mainly, but I have got a slight

crush on the skin, angle, if you

understand me.

Yes I do look at them at odd times.

I sort of get an urge to see them &

trot them out. If you have a

small one of yourself send it along

but remember after I have finished

with it or when I get home it

will be pretty worn and old,

Well honey that's all for today I

have some work to do on the maps

and having been on patrol all

morning I haven't much time to

spare.

I'd like to write a line or two to

Mum x x today, maybe after tea.

So cheerio dear wife, believe me

I love you dearly and you and

our dear babies mean every

single thing in the world to me.

I have No 33 and 34 to answer

yet.

Fondest regards to everyone home &

by the way, providing I don't stay

here too long in this possie, I

hope to have a little parcel

for your birthday. I have been

collecting for it this past 2-3 weeks

and I think she'll be ready in

a few days.

Cheerio again and lots of love from

Your loving CD

Yours forever

Col
