Dearest darling wife,
Just a short note of
events that has transpired since I
last wrote.
Important of these is I am now back
with the unit! Yes arrived last night
and so youll see by the new address
have been posted temporary to HQ Coy.
(Pioneer PC),
So I'm glad at last to see all the old
gang and I will check with the postal
man for letters from you.
Well honey Easter is not long away &
I'd like to send you best wishes and
to all at home, which reminds me
it seems months since I saw you &
Im sure looking forward to reading a
letter of yours, and darling I love
you terribly, I can't seem to settle
down as yet, twill take a week
or more before I get into the old
routine,
Our 2nd in Comd has been made
a colonel now. so he's not here.
You know honey this will show you how
much other people interest me, while
in Brissy I went to a picture show,
and having booked a seat I trotted
in just before it started, well after the
Show had gone along a bit, a fellar
and his girl sat next to me, thegirl boy being nearest, She had, I saw
a white straw hat on his lap which
I took to be the girls, I went out
at interval and returned after the
lights had dimmed, and do you know
the boy & girl who sat next to me
were two girls! Yes - the one near me
had short hair and tie on, I would
not have known except for the straw
hat. I'll now see if I can locate
the postal bloke,
Well he's away in town for now
honey so Ill write again later
on, so cheerio & all my love for
you dear wife Regards to all home
