My darling,
Hullo beautiful wife
here I am again to write a

few lines to the sweetest

little wife living.

I still have some letters to

do and Im getting them

done gradually (to answer I

mean)
I received no 13 yesterday and
so now I have 11-12-13 to

do. OK here we go I love you

Anyhow its good to know

that as I write youll be

getting letters again, I knew

there would be a gap in
them, although I wrote

just the same on the boat

on the way from Aussie, the

letters wern't taken off the
boat until we arrived at
our destination, now its
hard to think which ones
youll get first the ones
written after I hit land
or those old ones from the
boat, however I trust by
now you've had them sorted.
out.
I am certainly glad you
understand on those
occasions because I don't
know when it's likely to
happen and can not tell

you till its all over &

settled again.

Eleanor I see by no 11 is
now 28 lbs ¼ of a cwt, well
its just as well for you
she is walking eh, some
weight to carry around,
Douglas is sure growing to
be a great big bronze
Australian, and if he
continues to put on 1½ lbs in
3 weeks by the time he's
10 he'll be - ar let's see.
about 200 bls., well its

just as well he'll slow
down a bit as he grows
just as Eleanor has,
Yes I have heard You singing

God, send You back

to me,, in fact I sing

the tune a fair bit myself.
Well darling I would never
believe you pushed the babies
up the hill in the double
pusher! gosh thats no mean
feat for anyone. I remember
when we went to the dean
how I had to heave on it
going up there, it's the
right thing to take it out
of you.
Give me the lowdown on
Auntie Jean, She has two
babies, now which of
them is hers, John or Marie
I remember you mentioning

about Jhon John some time

ago but I'm not sure.

of the details.
Well I should certainly be
panicking if either of our
babies swallowed a safety
pin, gee when Eleanor was
eating lumps of mud off
a stick (the day I put the
sticks in the Chrysanthemums?)
that day I rushed over and
tried to make her spit it
out. Didn't Aunt Jean take
her to the doctors?

You Said it, I remember

one day John was up home

and I did nothing else but

race round the house turning

of the taps, he'd be round

the front while I was

around the back
Yes! the slippers, whip them
along up here honey theyre
a necessity with me now
especially after the bashing
I gave them on leave, its
just one of the things I
look forward to on leave
Well it looks as if well
be able to spend Sundays
in the garden with a
W Machine at Clapham.
I liked the long Khaki pants
Eleanor had on at the beach

(remember our second day)
You down washing her bathers
and me trying to hide the
proceedings,? ha! ha!

Joyce must be out of hospital
now, I suppose she was
home when Lytton passed
through.
Is Mrs Bullimore good at
crocheting, she must do
a bit if she has it to sell
Well I can't say my first
impression of old man Bull
was particularly good, still
I didn't know him, but he
sure seemed to have little
backbone, I'd rather be dead
than go on thataway
Remarkable thing its 3.0 - and
for me afternoon tea is on
you were knocking off for
supper, I shall say cheerio

dear wife,
I received a Xmas comforts
Fund Parcel the other day
Contained, tinned, pudding

Cake, fruit lollies, tob,

a hankie, facewasher

calender & sox, a pretty

good parcel,  OH also this

writing paper, (the first

page enclosed),
Okey doke Mrs CD. I shall

leave to you a thousand

Kisses darling. all my

best wishes for everyone

and love for No 1 and No 2.

from a loving Pop.

Yours only

forever Col
