Darling wife.
Well honey
here I am at Brissy
and having a
shower & a feed I’m not
feeling any the worse for
the trip.
Don’t know yet how long
Ill be here not more
than overnight I don’t
think.

The weather is warm
here much the same as
at home and I reckon
It will be hotter further
Up.
I have no especial news

for you except to remind
you that I love you, and
have been thinking of
you during the journey
quite a lot.
I had quite a fast &
enjoyable trip, so far
and at Sydney met
another of our officers
who also is returning
from leave.
I am unable to get the
travelling rug as they
are right out of them
at present also the

stretcher, I -promised to

get for 'Mort', I thought

where I went down they

3
would have them as
there were plenty there.
In my first letter
I mentioned sending a
War Savings Certificate to
which I sent to Master
Kenneth James Simpe.
c/o Mrs Young so you’ll
not have to worry
further about presents
140pc you receive the
parcel O.K.

Well honey by the time

this reaches you I’ll

be back expecting a

letter from you when

I get .there, I’ll not

carry this any further.

as I have to attend a
parade in a few minutes
Trusting you are well
and that you by this
have gotten used .to
missing me around.
Remember that to love
you and keep on loving
you is my only ambition
and to return to you
is my only object.
Love to Eleanor & Douglas
I will remember them as they

were and will never

forget those precious

days just gone
-Regards to all at home

& love to all, Yours

XXXXXXX forever Col
