noted.
2. It is suggested that you try and obtain a transfer

Island and Medical Classification transfer will be approved of by this
Headquarters.
3. Hoping your recovery to good health is speedy and

"A SOLDIER'S FAREWELL"
I'm saying goodbye dear mother,
I'm attending my last parade;
I've asked the others to carry on
As I just can't make the grade.
For three weeks they nursed and carried me,
Did all they possibly could;
I've asked the others to carry on
And leave me, alone in the wood.
I can still see those battle-word soldiers,
As they stopped to wave goodbye;
I've asked the others to carry on
And leave me alone to die.
They built me a rough bush shelter,
Left bully and biscuits too;
A smoke, some paper and a pencil -
So I could write, dear mother to you.
This letter may not be delivered,
The contents may never be found;
But I know that God will guard me
Where my body lies 'neath this mound.
I've said goodbye, dear mother,
I'm living in a different world;
Where all is quiet and peaceful,
The flag of Paradise unfurled.
I'm away from all sorrow and worry,
I'm starting my life anew;
But I won't be alone, dear mother,
For as God said, "I'm waiting for you".
