ersten Ranges bietet und in ihm niemand sein Heim vermissen wird.
Durch seine Lage mitten in der Stadt, gegenüber dem herrlichen Esbekieh-
Garten und in nächster Nähe der Oper und der grossen Banken, Post- und Tele-
graphenbureaux, Cook's Office, etc., eignet es sich vorzüglich zu einem Aufenthalt
für Familien. Von der Veranda aus kann man das Leben und Treiben Cairos
betrachten wie sonst von keinen anderen Hotel. Es besitzt über 150 Zimmer und
Salons, Bar, Damensalon und eine Halle, die in einen Wintergarten umgewandelt
ist. Fast alle Zimmer haben Balkone und sind nach Süden gelegen, wo die
Sonnenstrahlen den ganzen Tag Zugang haben, und bieten allen, die den kalten
Norden verlassen, einen angenehmen Aufenthalt.

This well-known hotel has been refurnished and thoroughly renewed in every
respect, so that is now possesses all the requirements and elegance of a
firstclass house, and no one residing there will miss his home-comforts.
As it is situated in the centre of the city, opposite the beautiful Esbekieh
Garden, and close to the Opera-house, the banks, post and telegraph offices, Cook's
office, etc., it is specially adapted for families. Sitting in the comfortable verandah,
visitors can watch the life and traffic of Cairo better than from any other hotel.
There are more than 150 rooms and saloons, bar, ladies' parlour, and a hall
which has been transformed into a winter-garden. Almost all the rooms look
southward, and have balconies open to the sunshine all day long, offering to visitors
from the cold north of Europe the most agreeable and salubrious sojourn.
