My Dear Kath,
I feel ashamed for
not having written congratulating

Kath I was very thrilled

I couldn't thank your Aunt
enough for letting me know,
it was very nice of her.
I have been ringing the
hospital each day to see how
you both are progressing.

Darling Kay,
Hullo darling
mine, and I hope you &
the little man are in good
shape as I am at present
unfortunately I am still
resident in this benighted
spot but still hopeful, if very
impatient of an early
departure. Nothing further
to report since my last screed
but apparently you can't hurry
these high officials damn
them. So, for the time being,
I suppose I must contain
myself but tis a strain,
I can tell you.
