yourself displaying the coiffure that I like best at present.
Keep it by you as a reference
for you will hear more of the subject from time to time.
I may say a subject in which I
have maintained deep interest.
Thanks to for the financial
conundrum you sent on from
Ern DuCros, the best part of
which was the bit at the bottom
to the effect that there was ₤12
odd coming my way. You'd better
pay into my coffers at the Bank
in fact that's the only thing you
can do with it I think. You
are quaint, fancy thinking you
were muddling in my affairs.
Are we married or are we
married? I seem to recall
something between us about
no secrets.

Darling Kay.
As stated in my last screed
I take up on the pen to finish what
was left unsaid delightfully punctuated
I may tell you by the arrival of
your letter of 16 Oct today. Also two
more bundles of papers so the mail is
functioning well. By the way did I
tell you another old time parcel had
turned up. the one with the hankies
socks etc. It had burst asunder in
its wanderings but the post office
repacked it and delivered the goods.
If I overlooked it: thanks a lot. Sweet.
So glad Richard and you enjoy the
good old rude health. It's good to
know too Sylvia & Mother have picked

up considerably after the grim news, poor
dears. The more I hear about that
show the more I realise how stiff John
was. That particular show was
comparatively easy and if only he had escaped
the hazards of the preparatory part all
would have been well.
The lad has certainly outgrown
the wee mite stage alright and must
be a joy to behold. I'm so pleased he's
such a model baby. for with one thing
and another it helps the poor harassed
mother no end. I may say the first
appearance of a lengthy letter from you met
with a resounding welcome for I need
hardly repeat that your letters are more
eagerly awaited than before and when I
click, the gulf between us is shortened
quite considerably.

It must be very heartening now
your gowns slip on so smoothly, no doubt
that's conclusive proof that you have
returned to slim proportions. It will be
pleasing to me to encircle that si snug
waist I promise you. I feel this
letter is pretty feeble. today the langour
of the tropics is very much upon me,
I've avoided doing jobs that could be
put off and my concentration is
hopeless . However the lassitude will wear
off in a day or two and you can expect
a better effort. Tomorrow is rest day and
I shall have a few hours of swimming
to liven me up. unfortunately the
water is tepid and therefore not so
refreshing. One good feature here is
the good facilities for hearing Mass
and going to the Sacraments.

4./
We have a mass here at 6:15pm
Sundays. rather a strange hour but
here the church goes out to meet
its followers.
By the way that cake I got
was from Dorothy Ridge. When I opened
it there was a note from her inside
Jolly fine of her and it was a beaut
cake too.
Well, my prize puss,
time for the cat to cheerio for
a little while. Give Richard
a big kiss from Dad and
I send to you all my
love
Yours ever
Dad.
