Darling,
I have the pleasure of
acknowledging the delivery of two
more letters from you, 23 & 24
and was delighted to read in the
latter that you had at last
had another letter from me
2
I think you will find yourself
better treated in the future as
the mail service appears to be
pretty speedy and regular. Extra
nice to know you feel bouyed
within reasonable limits with
the finale coming very close now.
Too bad you don't feel up to going
out much now as confined to the
house must get on your quince
Still, very soon you'll have more than
enough to do. You seem to have
a good time with your hen parties
of inspection, I wish I had half
their luck. Thanks for the packet
of papers en route, I'll lap them up
also the parcel to be dispatched.
You can forget about that item
so hard to get. There should be
another green envelope issued in a
few days so shall discuss certain
matters apropos your letters in that.
Will you continue to write your letters
on one side of the paper as that
commodity is unobtainable here
2
and I need some for taking notes.
I'm still feeling
pretty good and the skin
ailment I had , has practically
disappeared now. Things are
much more settled now and
you have a chance of keeping
clear of sickness and suchlike.
The grub has been an eyeopener
to me and my appetite is voracious.
As fast as the sweat rolls off . I'll
be putting the avoirdupois back
again, at the rate I'm going. So
that health report should reassure
you and on that score we both
seem to be satisfactory. I would
not mind a pint of beer now and
then but the stuff is conspicuous
by its absence. The local concoction
sounds too potent for my liking
so I'll keep on being a wowser.
Well, Kay, I seem to have run
out of news so shall toddle off now.
All my love and good wishes for
Richard and you. Cheerio Micky [signature?]

Dearest
Once more I am pleased to
get a page or two away to you,
firstly to enquire of your health
wealth and what have you and
secondly to impart the war
news right from the horses mouth.
It grieves me to tell you that
no more letters from you have
brightened my days but as I
have temporarily changed my
address a slight delay is more
or less inevitable so I'm not
worrying. I don't expect to be away
long anyway so the regular
inflow should not be greatly
interrupted. I hope you are
faring well in that respect, I've
been able to write frequently
praise be, so they should be
bobbing along OK. I'm
feeling very sanguine all the same
that you are in all respects

a ball of muscle which is only
right and proper seeing you've
been a model child for so long.
Really I'm becoming consumed
with impatience so you won't
have that on your own. At
least its not long now and if
your intuition is on the spot
maybe sooner than I expect. Its
the kind of news that can't
come too soon as I'm sure
it will be of the breath taking
variety. Its a bit hard to
write much these last few
days as absence of letters from
you and a quiet existence leave
you in the lurch. One bright
spot I have to tell you is I had
a very enjoyable plane ride
the other day. In what sort
of machine and from whence
to where I'm afraid I cannot
say but the scenery was
magnificent. That will be an
item to elaborate upon
later, perhaps bigger and
better experiences will befall

me. They can all come as
the flying business and me
mix well. When the time
for some leave hoves in sight
thats the way I'd love to
make the trip, fast and
clean.
Outside of that, my
peach theres no news so shall
bid you adieu for a while
and with that greeting I send
oceans of love and good
wishes.
Yours always,
Micky.

Darling Kay,
I must confess I'm
not feeling so chirpy today as
the absence of even a solitary
letter from you leaves things
rather incomplete I can well
imagine how you feel when
a period elapses without
mail from the one you want
to hear from a lot. However
one must be philosophical about
these trials, at least theres
plenty floating about somewhere
and a large volume will
occupy me happily then. I'm
glad you are not in the same
fix as just now that would
be just too bad. Anyhow it
shouldn't be long before I
finish up here and go back

to my former abode where mail
blows in regularly. I suppose a
bit of travel is beneficial
so one shouldn't complain. The
country here is beautiful
if rugged and from the air
you see some panorama. The
air is definitely the way to travel
and I hope the return trip is
by that means. Nothing sensational
has occurred worth chronicling
So that completes todays news.
I once again trust this
reaches you speedily and finds
you in rude health and
good spirits. I do like to get
that regular assurance from you
to confirm my hopes that you
are faring well. In its
absence I feel unworried as
your recent progress was
indicative of good things to
come. My words I'm dwelling
on some good tidings in a
few weeks time and for a

time will be walking on air,
itching for the time to come
when I will see you both.
It will certainly give us both a new
lease on life and I admit the
advent of something new and vital
will brighten the tedium of my
life. I shall follow the youngsters
progress with rapt interest and I
can depend upon you to give
me plenty of details. The first photo
will soon be worn out with much
examination.
Well my pretty,
that completes this report and
will now pause and think
up some more tit bits for
my next effort. Please give my
love to the Sugdens and
your mother and as for you
everything I have is yours.
Cheerio
Yours forever
Micky
