be better, I think, if you sent those
you already have as new ones
take such a lot of coupons.
I'll leave it to you, pet, being on
the spot. Sorry to need so
many things but just can't help
it. I'm due for more coupons
soon but doubt if they will
turn up for a long time, if at
all.
Was told today by bush
telegraph that Russia had
declared war on the Nips. If its
true that is good news indeed.
So long for a while, darling,
and I think of Richard and
you so often and send you all
my love. Micky.

Daring Kay,
Goody, Goody, five
whole letters from you yesterday
Nos 16 to 20 and most succulent
reading too I might add. Naturally
I wonder often how you are and what
you are doing and your chirpy screeds
fill the bill admirably. As your
time approaches, its simply great
to know your progress is good.
I was dwelling on your quacks report
and it seems as though a single
blessing will transpire after all,
much to our relief. From what you
say, I think you can set your fears
of undue trouble at rest and just
pop along and bring home that

champion bubba. Too right I was
pleased and in fact I'm starting
to be impatient for it all to be
over so our wishes run on parallel
lines. Your plentiful supply of
infants wear sounds like a dream,
how sweet he will look but no
more so than his darling mother.
You can let your curly head swell
a bit in justice, pet, as you've
done a great job and the finishing
touches will top off your accomplishment
in the same style. Please don't
fret over my inability to be there
its pure hell for us but pray
that it won't be long until I
breeze in. The snaps of you both
will be like gold to me as 'cos

I really must see you from time
to time if only in celluloid. I was
tickled to know a letter from me
had turned up at last and that
should keep up now a start has been
made. Better opportunities now so
I can write more frequently and
about time too. When you are
sending that parcel will you please
slip in a pad and envelopes – can't
get them here and sprinkle a bit
of powder on the envelope flaps
to stop them closing in the heat.
Time to work now so cheerio
darling with all my love
and lots of kisses to you
and Richard.
Micky

Darling Kay, 22.5.43
Greetings to you, blithe
spirit together with my best love
and respects. No more letters from
you since I last wrote but I had
one from Mum yesterday and was
pleased to learn they were all well
at home. She added that you
looked pretty sound when last
visited. I trust this finds you
still in good fettle and rarin' to
go, as it were. The air mail
service to this neck of the woods
seems pretty good so far, so it
should be possible to correspond
quite frequently, the exigencies of the
service permitting. I realise how
necessary it is just now to get

a letter to you regularly so you can
be free of worry on my account
and concentrate your energies on
a successful conclusion to your
sterling efforts. I confess to feeling
very well and have a hunch that
my tenure here won't be as
dreary as anticipated. Still plenty
of work with spiced with a
little excitement which will help
the months to speed by. But
how I shall look forward to
my next glimpse of you both.
t'will be the day of days. I'm
eagerly awaiting your next mail
to see if mine are reaching you
promptly which should be the
case by now. I had a letter

from Syd the other day and he was
a ball of muscle. You can tell
Dot when you see her and convey
my love to her as well. Good
company, isn't she? Am glad you
find a decent book a standby at
present, reading is a pleasure
not to be dispised.
I can't think of any
more luxuries for you to send
me, about time you will say
after the fragmentary lists I've
sent you lately. So on that
bright note, I shall conclude
sending you all my love
and wishes for good health.
Yours always
Micky
