I suppose will be a problem for
you but do the best you can.
Well, Sweetheart. I've a
sniffly cold and my thinking
processes are a bit thick so
will close now and get this
on its way to you. Tell you
some more shortly. For
now, oceans of love and
good wishes and all wrapped
in a good kiss.

Darling Kay.
May this find you
bright and shiny as I have
come now to expect of you after
some earlier anxieties. I am pleased
to report myself pretty fit and
shall take great pains to stay that
way. I suppose you think it strange
when I tell you its very hot here
with you folks in the throes of a
Melbourne winter. I'm finding
plenty to do to keep me occupied.
So with the heat, I shall soon be
down to my fighting weight.
No more letters since yours of the
7th which came along surprisingly
smartly to my vast joy, and the
news contained therein was

the right kind of stuff for the
troops. You have sure got what
it takes and the great things I
expect of you soon now look
a good bet. That the climax
is now looming near is good as
the road has been long and
rocky and you've earned a
decent spell. Very sorry the
news from me is so scanty but
censorship is very stringent at
present but hope for some
relaxation. You can sleep easily,
sweetheart, however as everything
looks like being O.K with your
boy friend. The time will pass
quickly and that day we so
passionately long for will

Darling Kay,
‘Tis pleased I am to
be able to snatch a few minutes
to send you my love and respects.
No more mail from you since I
last wrote but my hopes are
high for good luck in that
direction soon now. I hope it
is not long until I am informed
that you are continuing in your
characteristic style and feel
a ball of [[muscle]]. Yours truly
is pleased to report himself
fit and well except for a few
minor annoyances due to hearty
sweating. I'm getting in plenty
of hard yakker which came a
bit hard at first but at least

makes the time pass quickly
and bring nearer the day of
reunion. Very sorry, old top
the letters are a bit sketchy but
you understand why I cant do
better just at present. As a matter
of fact I'm keeping my eyes open
for a green envelope and then I shall
do a lot better.
I sent you particulars of
a few things I want from within
the bounds of your generosity and
shall repeat them if I havent
forgotten the details. Here they are
Talcum, Iodex, hankies, 2 tins of
Figsen tablets. Also my pyjamas

here for a certainty. It would
