4th April. Tuesday. moved camp from
Tel-el-Kebir to Serapium 38 Miles.
5th Ap: had a swim across Canel.
April 13th sand storm all day ceased
8 PM. went on horse picquet.
sand storm started again 12.30 A.M.
April 14th heavy rain 2 PM. oclock then
cleared up.
April 15th examined by Doctor.
April 16th sent thirty five prisons
from Serapeum. Beduine & Turks.
1 Austrian Officer. 33 Turks.
6. killed. 5 Wounded. we had
one Corp: killed.
25. April. Anzac Day. landing
early morning 20,000.
21st April. Good Friday.
Worked on digging Gun pit
April 23rd went on Guard.
April 30th on Brigade Guard.
May 10th Divisional Guard.
June 5th left. Serapeum. for. France.

different boats first lot Ivernia Japanese Prince

of Lord Kitcheners death.
June 12th 3-30 PM. arrived at
Marcelles, landed Monday.
9 AM stayed on Wharf till

the camp at "Harve" was
close to sea being on
high ground could have
a good view, in the
harbour 4 masts could
be seen projecting from
the sea which had been
torpedoed, we only
stayed here for four
days, left Wed: 21st for
Boulogne, arriving early
Thursday June 22nd took billet
at Caestre about 10, miles which
the Germans once occupied
this place but not for long
we were here ten days
then moved again to
Leventie about 14 miles this
beeing 3 miles from firing
line here we are kept
buisy taking amunition
to firing line each night
July 13th moved billet five
miles & had ^Baq St Moir to await or [[die?]]
July 22nd 15 moved again about
6 miles Croix Du Baq.
the billet got shelled
had to move 16 23rd July
July 24 17th had narrow escape
shells bursting all round us.
while taking amunition
to battery. July 18 had narrow exc of gas
July 19th big bombardment
comenced at 12-30 PM by us.
Moving about so much lost
count of day & date found
afterwards week in advance.
Big bombard of 19th July
eased off at 6 PM then we
sent out gas, bombardment
got heavy again
8 PM then we made an
advance taking three
lines of trenches & some
got into fourth comunication
was fixed up
to the third line, the
German machine guns
were very savere on
our men causing
