5th October - back to
Bathurst Camp.

Sent him a huge very rich
cake B.C. Fifty posted it for
the 6 October. Had it all
for a party among the lads.

Ted Little went to the wharf
hoping to see them go on.
Just saw Kevin Turnbull only.
(later accidently Killed New Guinea)
Our crowd was on Queen Mary. also the
Aquitania went out together
They went out 11 AM during
the morning Church Service
on 20th October (Sunday)
1940.
His Excellency Lord
Gowrie followed them as
far as the heads.
Lady Gowrie told me the
Ships were there when she
went to Church Service.
but when she came out
of the Service they were
gone.
They were joined by very
many ships outside the heads
