The commencement of this Journal is
Friday 13 - June 1941 - It continues to
the end of the year & then 1942 follows from
the beginning of the book ÷
2B NORTH PARADE
HUNTER'S HILL
N.S.W. 2110

  • Departure from Aus. and voyage to
    Canada begins June 13th in middle
    of book.
  • Then leave in England begins
    January 2nd at the front!
  • Russian convoy and subsequent forced
    landing and general comments about life
    in Russia begins Tuesday February 18th.
Denis, Bert, Pat, the Jeep = Denis Patrick
born 1920.
Ethel, known as Queenie, his mother.
Iris = sister
Rupert = brother - 
Colin = great friend
of childhood		 It was Rupert's identity he
took to join the Air Force
hence the "Bert" name.
Rupert later joined the Air
Force which was a bit tricky!
My mother, Peggy Overall "of more than average grading"
appears at the end! They married in Dec. 1945.
