Dear Fanny.
Just a line to let you know
I am still in the same old place
Received your parcel and paper
safely, think I wrote you just after
I received it, It has been very
hot here lately, had a heat wave
over the early part of the week
It’s a bit cooler now. Have not
seen Wallie for a long time now
I suppose he is still in the same
place. This is a snap of the
niggers here siveing the sand
for cementing purposes. I had
the negatives finished off at the
photographers here. Well I
must close now with fondest
Love from your [[?]] cousin
Fergus Cox

are having the time of their life,
they have all been booked
what I have seen so far so
it’s been very little use to me
giving the glad eyes, I can spot
them out wherever I go, and
without their hats on to.
What loving kids they all
are Fergus. You will always
find them sitting cuddling
In some corner or other.
Blackpool girls don’t seem
to suffer with their nerves.
My word they are proud of
a soldier don’t know whether
it’s the uniform or what that
attracts them. I don’t think
looks go very far in [[?]]
cases. Some old men among
these, down here, but never
