Dear Mrs Crawford,

Just a few lines
to let you know how sorry I felt when
I seen your Brothers Death in the
Argus. (Robert) My Brother George met
either Bob or Dave over in England, some
time back. I suppose you have seen
in the Argus that George was wounded.

He is wounded in the leg, fibulas
severe. He seems to be very unfortunate
since he left Aust. But we can only
expect these hardships & trust in God.
The war seems as if it is never going
to end. There is not many of the Dookie
Boys coming back alive. Well Dear
Mrs Crawford as news is scarce about
here, I will conclude with kind
remembrance to Mr Crawford, Little
Jim & not forgetting yourself.

I remain
Yours sincerely
Ollie A

My Dear Bell
just a few lines to extend
our sympathy to you in the loss of
your brother. I saw the announcement
in yesterday's "Age" did not know you
had a brother still over there after Dave's
return it is an anxious time for all
the friends but hope the war will soon
come to an end
I hope you are keeping well yourself
it is a long time since we saw any
of the folk from down that way Donald
is busy fallowing & we are milking
8 cows so we have not much time for
visiting. They started shearing at
Andys yesterday so they have plenty
to do too with all their little folk.
Tomorrow is our Annivessary tea [[meet?]]
& we are to have the new]D. McRae, Stewart
