This is the personal diary of the Commanding Officer

of the Australian Medical Support Force UNAMIR II,

Lieutenant Colonel P.F.McIntosh, I was also
titled the Deputy Commander of the Australian

Services Continent UNAMIR II.

The procedure to be used in maintaining this

diary is to record the events of the day

and refering by folio to orders issued,

received and other correspondance of interest

which will be held in a seperate binder.
Please note that the diary commences on

25 July 94, which is the date of the menestrial

announcement. Also, the events for the period
25 Jul until 4 Sep were recorded in

retrospect as the diaries were not

available until the main body arrived

in country and they were located in

a comex. The information is factural,

however, but it is not as detailed as it

would have been had the diary been

maintained daily.

Entries in this diary will also be made

by the Adjutant and, in my absence,

by the Operations officer. Where these officers

make entries their identity will also

be recorded.
