such a change from        
camp routine and
a cosy fire in a decent
house always has a
homey feeling. A Mrs
Tomlin, Wife of the prin
Principal of the school
has asked me to go to
their house (St Boniface Lodge
any Sunday I can get in.
I have also an invitation
to go to an evening given
to about 30 0r 40 Australians.
I am writting this in hospital
I was sent here the day
before yesterday with
influ^enza I did not want
to come but as my

temperature was 101° the
Doctor would not let me
stay in came. However
I think the temperature
was due to eating to many
chocolates, I had just received
a parcel of cake and
chocolate from Rosie
and Willie the night
before, and the cake of course
was mouldy, but the
chocolates were OK. and
I can't resist the temptation
of gorging myself when
they are to be had. I
therefore think they are
responsible for the temperature.
I hope to go back

to camp tomorrow or the
day after.
It is snowing hard today,
the first snow we have
had here this winter.
I ought to get some good
snapshots of it if it continues.
Poor old Ted will be thinking
I have left him in the
lurch as I promised to meet
him yesterday and today.
Up to date there has been
no news about the
application for a transfer
that I lodged here, however
no news is good news as
it means it has not been
turned down yet, and

and may go through.
I do hope it does.
I have not heard from
Clement lately and
am hoping he came
through alright the
last three stunts were
far more severe than
the one on 20^th and 21^st Sept.
Should be another
Australian mail in.
I am wanting to hear
how everything is going
at home.
Well it is the 16^th of Dec today
and I expect you are
having fairly warm
weather. Just to think 

another nine days and
it will be Xmas.

P.S. Peter has gone back
to France makes me
feel a bit of a mallingerer
however I intend seeing
this school through and
now I have started.
