GENERAL.
The only movements by 9th contrary to or without orders were 
those mentioned - namely, Hind's taking guns out at C/WAY 
on night of FEB 9. and Ptes Hinds, Jones & Parker 
leaving Pl at MANDAI

Sat 24 Jan 42   The unit arrived @ 8 pm at [[?]] disembarked and marched
to Rly Stn. entraining for [[?]] [[camp?]].  We detrained at [[?]] [[?]]
Siding near [[?]] and marched the last [[?]] miles [[?]] to [[?]].
After 26 days at sea this march with packs up [[?]] some softening
in condition.  Coy officers at this time were [[?]] Capt [[?]], [[?]] Capt
[[?]] [[?]], [[Capt?]] [[?]] [[?]], [[?]] [[?]] Lieut GC [[Martinson?]] [[?]] [[?]] Lieut C. [[?]]
Sun 25 - Tues 27 Jan  The camp proved comfortable and fairly [[?]]
such matters as [[?]] start & [[?]] not being [[?]]
[[?]] for the troops.  During these days we had daily [[?]] [[?]] [[?]] &
also every morning  Time was spent in digging sht trenches
