'Dale with her
Suppose by this you have had a
trip up to town, did you stay out at
Ollies for the week end & how did you
put your time in, what are the photos like,
am waiting to get my copy.
That chap would be able to have
a fair garden at our place, after all the
hard work I put in on that stone, maybe
we will find a place ready for us when
I get back.
Afraid I'm not much good having
a yarn on paper, sincerely hope its not too
long before we will be able to get along
without this letter writing.
Well Darling I cant find any
more news to tell you at present so, I'd
better clue up
"Cheers''
With all my love & Kisses
Frank xxxxxxxxxxx
Give my regards to all at home. Noel &
Robbie Send their regards.

My Darling Rene,
Just a few lines to let you
know that I'm O.K, & still getting along
fairly well, hope this finds you & all at
home in the best of health, & that you are
still able to knock out a fair time.
I'm still anxiously awaiting some
where round about half a dozen letters of
yours, surely I'll click shortly. Sincerely hope
that your mail hasnt been similarly held
up.
I received about one dozen Sporting Globes
of yours yesterday, will have to make do
on that for the time being.
Guess you are wondering & perhaps
worrying just how we are making out these
days, am afraid all I can say is that
up to date we are quite O.K, & getting
along rather well under the circumstances,
as a matter of fact a cobber & myself are
living in better quarters than we have
.2.
had up to date, a decent wireless set, get
a lot of overseas stuff, including quite a
few sessions from our "Gals" which always
manage to give us a fair laugh but on
the other hand tell us a lot that is
quite true.
As far as the war is going here
reckon that I cant tell you anything
youd be well & truly advised by your
papers & wireless, if they reckon things are
tough over here, they are about the only
ones that do, the troops here dont seem to
be aware of it.
Have rather a decent mate these days,
he's married, his cheese lives in Melbourne, we
get along rather well, both anxious to get
back to something we were mugs to ever
leave, heres hoping its not long before we
catch up.
There has been rumours that the
Air Mail to & from Australia has been
diced, but according to the wireless
tonight it's still to continue, reckon I'm
of the opinion that it stopped over a
month ago, judging by the results that
I'm getting, didnt think I'd be able to
.4.
Bill's letter, afraid I'll have to ask you for
the address again, I still owe him a letter.
I am wondering if he still persisted for that
transfer of his.
Reading those Globes I see that a few
50 to 1 shots rolled home, maybe Ma managed to
get in to one of them, how are they treating
her these days.
Well Sweetheart I'm afraid it's the usual
cry I cant find any news to tell you for the
present, so I'd better clue up. I do Fine & miss
you more than ever.
Your loving husband.

Regards to all at home, tell them not to forget
to write occasionally.
