Dear Mother

At long last I am able to write to you again,

and this time not from a prison camp. Fred is

still with me, we have managed to keep together

all the time. The Germans took us out  of the

Stalag on 6/4/45 & started us marching.
We were still on the march when we were

liberated on 2/5/45. What a great day that

was. I have had quite a few adventures in

the last 6 weeks, but I will xx tell you all
about it when I get home. And I think that
will be pretty soon. From Germany, we flew to
Brussels, spent two nights there and then flew
here. We arrived in this camp on 11/5, and
are now getting all fixed up, we should go
on leave in two or three days. I am quite

well and have put on about a stone weight

in the last week. Give my love to the boys & Joan
Cheerio Mother Love from Red.
